My wife and I showed up for an appointment on Saturday morning. The plan was to drop the truck (2007 F250 6.0 diesel) off for ball joint replacement. (We even brought our bicycles with us to ride around town during the repair). We were greeted immediately, and welcomed in a warm and friendly manner. It felt as if we had known each other already. Sean noticed a diesel smell right away and popped the hood while we were still at the shop. He identified the leak very fast and pointed it out to me. It was the fuel regulator. Then after a few quick questions about why I thought the ball joints needed repair, I explained that we'd just had new tires installed and the mechanic at the tire shop wiggled the wheels and said that the ball joints were bad. Sean said that he highly doubted that the ball joints were bad, but he'll take a look. ...and off we went, my wife and I, on our bike ride... Nope, the tires were flat on our bikes. No problem, Sean motioned for us to bring our bikes into the garage and he checked the pressure and filled up all of our tires. Awesome. So, we rode about a half mile up the street and stopped at a pub, St. James gate. Ordered some burgers, and before we finished eating Sean called up to say that it was the wheel bearings and that he fixed them- on both sides. Cool. Shortly after the phone call, we arrive back at the shop. I say, "how much do I owe you", and he tells me, "no charge, it was easy." Lol, wow. Saturday was a good day. We scheduled the replacement of the fuel pressure regulator for the following Wednesday. I dropped my truck off at break time and picked it up after work. No problems. I've scheduled an oil change for next week, as I'm already overdue. I think I'll be going to Sean for all my repairs as long as I'm in the bay area. Highly recommended!
